Assault suspect steals and crashes golf cart
"Police said a man stole a golf cart and crashed into a fence at 10th and Grand avenues Tuesday afternoon. Officers said a report came in of a man assaulting another man on the light rail. The suspect got off at the Central Avenue and Roosevelt Street stop, then stole a golf cart near First Avenue and Portland Street, according to police. Police said a report came in of a crashed golf cart as they searched for the suspect. Witnesses pointed out where the suspect who crashed the cart was -- lying in front of a water fountain across the street without shoes or a shirt, police said. Officers said they believe the suspect was under the influence of an illegal substance."
