Happy AmeriCorps Week to VISTA Jesus Rocha, who has been serving at Mentor Me since August 2017. VISTA, which stands for Volunteers in Service to America, started during the 1960's to help end poverty. It's like a domestic Peace Corps and members do one year of service assisting community non-profits. Check out the Center for Community Engagement at Sonoma State University blog to learn more about Jesus' role at Mentor Me. And give him a shout out for his service. We are fortunate to have him on our team!
Great opportunity happening tomorrow! Thanks Chop's Teen Club.
