THIS SITE IS NOT CONTINUOUSLY MONITORED The Pelham Police Department is a modern, progressive, full-service municipal law enforcement agency dedicated to the ideal of providing superior police services to the community it serves. The department is comprised of four operating divisions: Patrol Division, Investigations Division, Administrative Services Division, and Administrative Operations Division. Personnel from each of these divisions also staff specialty units that provide unique or specialized services as needed, such as SWAT, Evidence Technicians, Traffic Crash Investigations, DARE, Fingerprint Identification and Polygraph testing. Pelham Police personnel are the highest trained law enforcement officers in Shelby County due to an aggressive field training program for new police personnel as well as regular required in-service training for all officers.

The entrance to Pelham City Park (aka Ball Park Road/ Pelham Park Blvd) will be closed for construction to upgrade the roadway and intersection to better accommodate Pelham Park Middle School, Pelham City Park Complex and the new Pelham Public Library. The closure is set for this coming Wednesday. While the road is closed, the front of the park and the Park Office can be accessed via Court Way. This street is located across from Pelham First Baptist Church and runs between Sherwin Williams Paint and Express Oil Change off of US 31. See Map.

The three black males in these photos robbed Walgreen's on Helena road in Pelham on 04/20. They were armed with handguns and robbed the pharmacist of narcotics and three employees of their personal items. If you recognize any of the suspects or have any information on the uniform-type jackets that two of them are wearing, please call Lt. Color the Ridge 5K Run will begin on Saturday Morning at 8 am. Registration is at 7am at Fun Go Holler Park. The 5K will leave Fun Go Holler Park and travel CR 52 West bound a short distance to CR 35. The run will turn onto CR 35 and take a right onto Brookshire Lane. Runners will travel the lenght of Brookshire Lane and will turn around and head back to CR 35. At CR 35, the run will turn back South and into the parking lot of the County Services Complex. The run will then follow a paved trail from the County Services Building back to Fun Go Holler Park. The race should last about 45 minutes. A single lane of CR 52, 35 and Brookshire Lane will be closed temporarily as the run moves down those stretch of roadways. Traffic normally in the closed lanes will be diverted to other lanes and little to no impact on travel is expected. The travel lane of Brookshire Lane leading into the neighborhood will be utilized by runners. Residents will be able to exit Brookshire freely, as that lane will remain open to traffic. The run is expected to impact entrance into the neighborhood for 20 to 30 minutes. A 1 mile fun is also scheduled for Saturday. That run will not involve any streets. This event is hosted by Pelham Ridge Elementary and benefits the American Cancer Society.
