Happy Thanksgiving, from our Erickson Living family to yours!

Brooksby Village presented 6 shopping carts filled with food to Haven from Hunger. "Over the past few weeks, people who live and work at Brooksby Village have been donating canned goods and making monetary donations to Haven From Hunger.," said Barbara Lee, Community Resources Coordinator, Brooksby Village. "Everyone was able to make their donations over a 3 week period of time. It's another wonderful way for the entire community to come together for a great cause." Between 30-40 boxes of food were presented to Haven from Hunger.

Erickson Living has named Justin Paradis Associate Executive Director at Brooksby Village. Paradis has been with Erickson Living since 2006, beginning his tenure as a Physical Therapist. "Justin has held several key leadership positions at the community including Assistant Administrator and Director of Continuing Care,” said Tracie Bettano, Executive Director of Brooksby Village. “He has also held positions at Linden Ponds, our sister community located in Hingham, MA. All of these experiences, combined with his relationships here at the community and with our corporate partners, position him very well for success in his new role.” Paradis holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Prior to joining Erickson, Paradis worked as a physical therapist at Shaughnessey-Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital in Salem. Congrats Justin!

Today is Employee Appreciation Day at Brooksby Village! Employees were treated to breakfast, brunch and dinner all while wearing their favorite football team attire!

It may be cold out today but that didn’t stop residents and staff at Brooksby Village from participating in the annual Turkey Trot! The group walked a mile around the community and then enjoyed cider and donuts!
