On Saturday, May 6th 2017 Lirio De Los Valles Ministries in collaboration with "Cruising for Jesus" held an event for the community where residents brought their broken or malfunctioning bikes to be repaired Officers D. Corona & H. Zavalza attended the event and had a special surprise for a special someone. Julian got his bicycle stolen a while back, he had been without a bike for a long time. Parlier Police Officers, with the help of Bike Masters were able to fix that problem for Julian and got him a bicycle and a new bike lock to ensure his bike is secured when not in use. Featured are Officers Corona and Zavalza with Julian and his new bike. Thank you to Bike Masters and everyone who made this event possible.

On 4/28/2017 at 10:21 A.M. Officer Jimenez responded to the area of Stanislaus Street for a suspicious person in the area. When he arrived, he saw a male subject in the area, when confronted, the subject was combative with the officer. The male subject (later identified as Albert Preciado) then ran and got into a nearby garbage truck who was working in the area. Officer Jimenez pulled out his taser and ordered Preciado to get out of the vehicle. Preciado attempted to get a hold of the officer's taser and struck the officer in the face with a punch, and fled. Backup officers then responded and after a search in the area, Preciado was located in a backyard to a residence. He was apprehended, taken into custody, and booked into County Jail.
