Paducah's premier community designed to enable qualified persons to live active, rewarding lives with access to needed services in a residential setting. The Jackson House Apartments staff provide world class customer service centered around making our communities more than a great place to live by focusing on resident satisfaction and opportunity.
In 1971, three labor organizations, the West Kentucky Building and Construction Trades Council, the West Kentucky Area Council AFL-CIO, and the Kentucky State AFL-CIO, formed a non-profit corporation for the explicit purpose of building Jackson House, a residential facility designed for elderly and handicapped men and women. Three delegates from each of these sponsoring organizations formed the board of directors of the West Kentucky Senior Citizens Union Labor Housing Corporation. Federal funding was obtained through the Independent Living 236 Program, and on December 10, 1971, groundbreaking ceremonies were held.
The dream of a high rise building to serve our senior citizens and handicapped became a reality when the first residents moved in on February 1, 1974.
Jackson House lies on one city block bordered by 9th, 10th, Clark and Washington Streets. The site is adjacent to the W.B. Sanders Retirement Center (formerly Jackson House II), a second facility opened in 1982 and owned and operated by the same sponsoring organizations.
The Jackson House stands twenty stories and contains 233 apartments.

We went to the Community Day Sale at the Mall. We got to use the coupon booklets we bought from the fundraiser. We found many good deals. Fun folks to shop with.
