OMA has a 35 foot proscenium stage and can seat up to 830 making it the perfect place for theatrical productions,  concerts, meetings, & weddings. Our Exhibition Hall is prefect for receptions, or training seminars/classes.  Reasonable rental rates! OTTAWA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM BOARD

City Residency Requirement

FUNCTION: The authority and duties of the board are to: 1. Advise the Auditorium Manager of groups which might be interested in using the Municipal Auditorium; 2. Advise the Auditorium Manager of what additional information and data should be gathered so as to attract conventions, touring companies, and other groups to use the Municipal Auditorium; 3. Advise the Auditorium Manager of additional attractions or events which might increase the utilization of the Municipal Auditorium; 4. Assist the Auditorium Manager in promoting the use of the Municipal Auditorium. 5. Direct all inquiries from persons or groups desiring to use the Municipal Auditorium to the Auditorium Manager. 6. Make reports to the Governing Body concerning the Municipal Auditorium activities at least twice yearly. 7. Make recommendations concerning the annual budget, including capital improvements to the Governing Body..

MEETING: 11:30 - 12:30 PM at OMA on the third Tuesday of each month

Battle of the Bands 2017

The Ottawa Memorial Auditorium hosts the 2017 Battle of the Bands, a fundraiser for the Ottawa Teen Park. Admission for general public is $5 at the door. We're still looking for a few bands to compete! Call Tiffany at 785-242-8810 or email tevans@ottawaks.gov Battle of the Bands Rules and Regulations: • Bands must have at least 3 members, to include bass player, guitarist and drummer. Absolutely NO lip-synching or tracking vocals. • Applications will be accepted until 5 bands are registered. • Ottawa Memorial Auditorium will provide microphones and sound equipment. Guitar amps will NOT be provided. • Bands must complete a registration form and pay $50 non-refundable entry fee. • Entry fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, including withdrawal from the competition • Battle of the Bands will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Ottawa Memorial Auditorium, 301 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS. • Bands will be given 25 minutes to perform. • Only the first band will be sound checked at 4 p.m. • Winner will receive cash winnings in the amount of all band entry fees collected and will perform at Ottawa Play Day on Saturday July 29th. Time to be determined. • Alcohol is prohibited. • Management and/or judges have the right to disqualify a band at discretion due to misconduct. • Judging based on; appearance and personality, stage presence, musicianship & dynamics, overall performance and professionalism. • Ottawa Memorial Auditorium is not liable for accident, liability or equipment disappearance or damage. • If you will be performing covers, set list needs to be turned in by June 10th • Stage plot must be submitted by June 15th.
