The Alley is a community lead project geared towards better utilizing & rejuvenating untapped potential in our Main Street district, specifically the Alley The Alley project is a show of true passion for community development and beautification. A group of ordinary people saw a need, worked tirelessly to fill it and ended up with something truly brilliant. The alley was once nothing more than a vacant, crumbling go-between and now acts as a shining jewel in the crown of Oskaloosa Main Street. Come, sit, enjoy and relax; whether you're listening to a live performance, eating your lunch, or planning a bridal shower: the Alley offers a little bit of something to everyone in the Oskaloosa community.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in The Alley! Join us Thursday December 1st 5:30-7:30 PM in The Alley for spiced cider or mulled wine prior to the Lighted Christmas Parade! Toast The Alley Christmas Tree with the KADTS. Featuring: The Brass Edition (Bruce and The Alley House band will play live!) Merry Christmas everyone!

These pictures do not do justice to the wonderful 3-D metal-scapes that the metal shop class from New Sharon made for the Alley. The class, NM Custom Creations, lead by Teacher Ryan Groom, has 12 dedicated students in the community :Hunter Davis, Milan DeJong, Gabriella Ferguson, Brandt Fleener, Ashton Hartwig, Katie Koehler,Jackson Munson, Kaden Shaw, Jacob Sherburne, Hung Tong, Samuel Watts, Jace Williams sharing their talents with "Scenes Through The Seasons" now in The Alley planter boxes for the season. Thank you to the NM metal class and the Iowa Association of REALTORS® grant for helping us add this element to The Alley! Come see them for yourselves (will be decorated for the season) at the Christmas parade December 1 and share some mulled wine with the KADTS!
