Located at the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway, North College Hill is known as “The Center of it All”. The history of North College Hill and its progression from farm community to village to city has its roots in the earliest days of the United States and the beginning of the country's westward expansion across North America. The mostly urban character of twenty-first century NCH has evolved from a quiet, rural community first settled soon after the end of the American Revolution. Over the decades, NCH residents have included a pair of highly acclaimed poets, a prominent national religious leader and reformer, and the founders of the first home for blind women in Ohio.

The City of North College Hill Public Works Department is seeking to perform a variety of duties such as grass cutting and maintenance of City owned property and parks. Positions sought are: (2)SEASONAL PART-TIME POSITIONS General Park Maintenance: Multiple areas Landscape and Floral Care: City-wide Turf Care and open space care: City-wide Landscape and Maintenance: All Parks These positions will enjoy paid, on-site training; contributions into the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System; Typical Qualifications: All Successful candidates must have: Ability to be a team player with a can do attitude. Ability to work independently while performing multi-task. Ability to thoroughly complete tasks while executing all task within the specific allotted time. Ability to work outdoors under different weather conditions for extended periods of time. Ability to stand and/or walk up to 6+ hours during a shift. Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and a comprehensive background check. Must be able to lift/exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Preferably, candidates should be available to work weekends, holidays and special events. Multiple shifts during different times of the day/week are available. Depending on needs, a flexible schedule is available. CDL class B, Preferred Light road maintenance and occasional snow plowing Litter collection of public streets All positions need to possess the ability or are able to be training to operate various landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc. Although experience is a plus, no experience is necessary. The position is physically demanding and work environment characteristics described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position or that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
