The Liberty Pub

2047 Sherman Ave, North Bend, United States
Restaurant

Description

ad

Continuing the tradition in a building built before 1910 that once held one of North Bend’s earliest saloons, our intent is to provide our guests with a true neighborhood pub – a relaxed and comfortable environment for adults in which to enjoy some great food and drink.
The pub is a place to visit with old friends or better yet,
to make some new ones.  When you are somewhere else,
the pub is where you would rather be.

It's...a...beautiful day in this neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor... but seriously, what a day, right? Well, when you're done playing in the bountiful sunshine, why not come join us at your neighborhood Pub this evening and you'll be able to enjoy one of your favorite dinner specials, zomething different, and a new rotating keg! The Ruffled Chicken is back! Half a pound of potato chip-encrusted deep-fried chicken breast tenders served with your choice of our homemade ranch dressing or bbq sauce for just $7, or you can add a side of our fresh-cut fries for a full meal and make it $9. After enjoying this warm day, a Zima is a great way to quench your thirst, and we still have some of this special reissue while supplies last. Speaking of thirst, if a citrus-flavored beverage isn't your thing, how about our newest handle? From Healdsburg's Bear Republic Brewery comes their Hop Shovel IPA! This 7.5%, 100IBU beer is dry, but with a soft and rounded mouthfeel achieved by using a high proportion of wheat and rye. Hop varieties Mosaic, Meridian, and Denali provide an abundance of flavor and aroma. This one is *not* going to last very long, trust us. Please don't forget that tomorrow is Father's Day, and we're going to be closed in honor of fathers everywhere, so grab yours (or your kids, or both) and go burn something on a bbq somewhere and enjoy the company. =) See you soon!

Zima Clearmalt Commercial 1993

Happy Friday! It's '90's Night at the Pub, and we hope you'll join us for it. We'll be playing music from the final decade of the 20th Century all night as well as offering you Zomething different: Zima is back! That's right, the first flavored malt beverage has been brought back for a very limited run, and now you can enjoy this refreshing 5% brew either neat or on the rocks right here at the Pub. Whether you grab a couple of bottles out of nostalgia or out of curiosity, you're going to enjoy this unique and historic drink. We're keeping our '90's theme running with tonight's special: a Large Two-Topping Pizza for just $20! What's that have to do with the 90's you ask? Well, what's a special low price now was a regular price back then, you know, back when the dollar was stronger and had more purchasing power. ;) Finally, we're still accepting applications for our Full-Time Kitchen Team Member opening (see the post pinned to the top of our Facebook page for more info), and we'd like to remind you that we'll be closed this Sunday in honor of Father's Day. Zee you zoon!

We'd very much like to thank our Session Players for another wonderful performance last night - everyone in the room had a great time, as always. You also all loved the Cordon Bleu Bites, causing them to sell out much faster than we had anticipated. Guess we'll have to bring them back sometime... ;) Speaking of things you love, tonight's special is Karen's Beef & Barley Soup! We know, it's not that cold out, but 1) it's grey & drizzly; and 2) that soup is SO good... We'll be serving it up while it lasts with fresh-baked parmesan-herb flatbread for $4 a cup & $7 a bowl. Also, just so you're aware, tomorrow night will be 90's Night @ The Pub, and we'll be playing awesome tunes from the end of the century in honor of the arrival of a very zpecial guest... We're still accepting resumes for our full-time kitchen position so feel free to either email them or drop them off in person or in our mailbox. See you soon!

Hi folks! Here's 5 good reasons why you should join us tonight: We've got our weekly Open Celtic Jam Session at 7pm tonight! The Session is open for intermediate to advanced musicians with experience playing traditional Celtic & Folk dance pieces, or you can just relax and enjoy the music as part of the audience. We've got a brand new special to run by you – Cordon Bleu Balls! Deep-fried balls of chicken stuffed with ham & cheese and served with mayostard for just $8, or add a side of our fresh-cut fries and call it $10. We've got two new rotating handles for you to enjoy, and by coincidence they're both from those brilliant people at Oakshire Brewing in Eugene. First up, their Cucumber Berliner-Weisse! This traditional German summer beer is crisp & tart with the flavor of fresh cucumber subtly floating around your nose and tongue. At 4% and only 12 IBU's this quasi-sour is going to disappear pretty quick, especially as the weather improves. Our other new rotator is making it's 2nd appearance at the Pub, as it was so tasty we jumped at the chance to bring this special edition back: Perfect Storm Double IPA! This 9.3%, >100 IBU beast will sneak up on you like a hop-nami. Hopal wave? Well, you get the idea. If you like hops, you'll want some of this bad boy before it, too, goes dry. Of course, the fifth reason to join us tonight is to drop off your resume in person as you think you're the perfect fit for our team's F-T Kitchen opening. For more information, please check out the post pinned to the top of our FB page. See you soon!

It's shaping up to be "Stoopid Good Sports Sunday" at the Pub, and we're hoping you'll join us for it. At 5pm we'll drop the puck with Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final where Nashville will do their best to force a Game 7 and Pittsburgh will try to hoist Lord Stanley's Cup for the second time in as many years. Also at 5pm we'll see the first pitch between the Tigers and Red Sox in what should be a hard fought contest between the two. Then, at 5:30 we'll root for the Stars & Stripes as they journey down to Mexico City for a World Cup Qualifier against our nemesis neighbors. While you're here getting neck strain from trying to watch all three games at once, you can enjoy tonight's dinner special, Calamari Fingers! Panko-breaded and deep-fried strips of calamari mantle served up with your choice of our homemade cocktail and/or tartar sauces for just $9, or add a side of our fresh-cut fries and make a full meal of it for just $11. I'm not sure how as according to the computer two out of three of our rotating kegs are well past the amount of beer allegedly in them, but come on down and help us move on to the next ones, a double IPA and a Berliner-Weisse. See you tonight, and go Preds/Sox/USA!

It's Saturday night, and we're bringing back a special that we haven't offered since last year: the always popular Mrs. O'Leary's Revenge! Named after the tale of the cow that knocked over a lantern, thereby burning down a significant portion of Chicago (Google it), this meal consists of strips of very tender beef breaded and deep-fried before being served up with a side of either our Ranch dressing or our BBQ sauce for just $8. Think of them like french fries, but made with a cow instead of potatoes. Or if you're still thinking about potatoes too, you can have them with a side of our fresh cut fries for just $10. As busy as last night was, we're not sure how the Born Again Yesterday Fresh Pale is still pouring, and the Imperial Stout is so light we're afraid to look at the handle too hard – but they are, for another pint or two at least. If you join us tonight you can get one more glass before it's too late and/or be among the first to sample what we're tapping next! Finally, we'd very much like to thank Adam West for vastly improving the childhood of everyone he came into contact with, as well as keeping us laughing over the following 40 years. He'll be sorely missed in an ever more serious world, and so we've asked Commissioner Gordon to light the signal one final time in his honor. Thanks again Adam, for everything.

Happy Friday! Tonight we're offering up our ever-popular Large Two-Topping Pizza for $20 dinner special so you can get a lot of great food for a great price. Not much goes better with pizza than beer, and if you join us this evening you can also enjoy what's left of the Fresh Pale & Imperial Stout kegs as they're both almost gone – but of course, they'll be replaced with some equally amazing kegs, as always. ;) In addition to our normal soundtrack of laughter and great music, we'll be showing both Game 4 of the NBA Finals (will the Warriors sweep?) and the Beavers as they kick off their Super Regional tourney in quest of another NCAA Baseball Championship. See you soon!

Happy Thursday! We'd very much like to thank our Session Players for their wonderful performance last night – everyone had a blast, as always. You're going to want to join us tonight because we've brought back a special from the mists of time: Karen's homemade Chili Con Carne! That's right, we thought we'd go along with the weather by revisiting an old favorite that used to be on our menu but is now only an occasional visitor – you know, like Bill Murray hosting Saturday Night Live. We're serving it up with optional shredded cheddar and/or diced red onion and fresh-baked cornbread mini-muffins for $4 a cup and $7 a bowl while it lasts – though it never does, more's the pity. Another reason it won't last is that if you really want to go for broke, you can get Chili Cheese Fries for $8.50. Your doctor won't recommend them, but we do, very strongly. ;) We'll also be showing both a very pivotal Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final as well as one of the best rivalries in sportses, Red Sox/Yankees on the TV's tonight. See you soon!
