God is good . . . all the time . . .
For over 50 years 1st Presbyterian Church has sponsored an Ecumenical Holy Week Serviced - we offer this again this year - April 10-14 at noon - 10 different community ministers, 5 different individual/musical groups - with a meal to follow each day (provided by 5 different churches) - Join us for Holy Week . . .
We are overjoyed to welcome 13 new members this past Sunday! Our youth have finished their confirmation class, and have affirmed their faith in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. Welcome to our church family!
Let's celebrate - what a joy at our Sunday evening's session meeting as we received 13 new members into 1st Presbyterian Church - so proud of Josh and our youth . . . now - God is good . . . all the time . . .
Just so you can have it on your calendar - 1st Presbyterian will observe Maundy Thursday with a special service, in the sanctuary at 6:30 PM - in addition to worship on this special day in Holy Week we will celebrate the sacrament of communion - Maundy comes from the fact that Jesus gave a new "Mandate" or commandment on that day that "you love one another just as I have loved you!" Hope you plan to join us for this special Maundy Thursday Service . . . God is good . . . all the time . . .
No vote - no debate - no new law - Sunday is coming - You will want to worship in your church home Sunday - but if you don't have a church home, join us at 1st Presbyterian, Cookeville, TN - 20 North Dixie - worship time is 11:00 AM - we continue our character study (we have visited Nicodemus and the woman at the well) - this week, the blind man healed by Jesus that no one would support - even his family deserted him - only Jesus shows up to support him (that's good news). Wow! God is good . . . all the time . . .

Chances are there have been times you have been in a wilderness and didn't even know it. Check out the wildernesses in our life this Sunday at 1st Presbyterian Church, Cookeville, TN, 20 North Dixie . . .If you have a church home - be there - if not join us for worship at 11 AM . . . Join us as we decide that "We're not buying what Satan is selling!" Have a great week-end - and remember as we walk through Lent - God is good . . . all the time . . .
Weekly Worship
Where does the time go? Just a few more days and it will be Sunday - generally called "The Lord's Day!" Will it be the "Lord's Day" for you? If you have a church home - be there. If not, join us at 1st Presbyterian Church, 20 North Dixie - We will ask the question, "Are you perfect?" In Matthew 5, Jesus instructs us to be perfect, even as our Father in Heaven." Is that possible? Join us as we seek to understand perfection! God is good . . . all the time . . .
