Boar's Head Brand Deli of Distinction.  Est 1985.   In 1985 Joseph Gambino and Joseph Barbieri decided to bring their families homemade recipes to the dinner plates of Long Island, NY. They started out with a small Salumeria offering great food and exceptional service. Today Salpinos has 2 convenient locations in Wantagh, NY and North Babylon, NY where you can do your entire food shopping for the family. Each store has a huge array of homemade salads, prepared foods, Sterling Silver fresh meats, Boar's Head Brand cold cuts, fresh baked bread, homemade sauces, fresh pasta, imported cheeses, fresh fruits & vegetables, a large selection of assorted olives and long aisles of pastas, sauces, oils & vinegars, imported Italian chocolates & cookies, assorted Italian delicacies and much much more. in 2001 Salpino's was named a Boar's Head Deli of Distinction which is an award bestowed upon a deli that exhibits exceptional service to its customers & community and is the best of the best in the deli business. Theres only a handful of delis in the country (about 5) that achieved this honor and Salpino's claims 2! We sell over 3500lbs. of cold cuts a week so we always guarantee our cold cuts are the freshest possible! Not only are we a Deli of Distinction but we were also named "Best Caterers on Long Island" by Channel 12 LI News.
