McKenna (1 year old spayed female) is just now starting her journey. Now that her four kittens have gone and found homes of their own, this young mama is looking forward to her own. Hiss and spit, just keep in mind that she is much more afraid of us than we can ever be of her. To begin her adjustment, our volunteers and employees will start by speaking to her to get her used to the sound of voices and offer her tasty treats. Little by little we will continue with touching using toys to avoid getting swatted and also not to cause a nervous reaction in her, hands can be scary at first. Please come and visit and see her day to day transformation and be a part of the process by applying to volunteer. These cats have just as much potential to be great companions, they just need a little bit more love and patience.
MacGyver and Merlin were enjoying the window today. Both of them have come such a long way on their own personal journey. Merlin now gets along very well with other cats even though sometimes he likes to start trouble while MacGyver is very much grown accustomed to indoor life and loves to be petted by gentle hands.
