Arts on the Riverwalk
Description
Arts on the Riverwalk will be September 9, 2017 and will feature an artists market, Street Performers, children's activities & more! Arts on the Riverwalk began in 2014 as a partnership between Arts & Education and the Hoyt and the Lawrence County Tourist Promotion Agency to elevate tourism in our historic downtown while improving the cultural dynamic of the New Castle Fireworks Festival. We successfully contributed an Artists Market , Street Performers, Interactive Adult & Children’s Activities, Arts Competitions, Exhibits, “Selfie-Stations” and more to attract over 10,0000 visitors each year. Now with three years of planning, hosting and evaluating under our belts, we are anxious to spread our wings as an independent event celebrating the visual and performing arts in our region. We have changed the date from mid- July to early September and developed new partnerships to introduce a Short Film Festival, dance exposition and public art project. Artists, musicians, poets, dancers, actors, film-makers and creators of all kinds are welcome to particpate and support our mission “to expand and enrich the life of the community through participation in the arts.”
