The purpose of this Idaho Department of Fish and Game Facebook page is to promote the positive exchange of information about Conservation in Idaho including: Idaho’s wildlife areas, hunting and fishing recreation and native wildlife species.

We are required by State of Idaho policy to maintain this discourse as a limited public forum specifically, in a family-friendly environment. As a user of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game Facebook pages we encourage you to share your comments, ideas and concerns.

While constructive criticism is welcome; language that is disruptive, threatening, abusive, profane, harassing, defamatory, libelous, obscene, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable as solely determined by IDFG, or contains any product or service advertisements or endorsements, or can be construed as politically lobbying will not be tolerated.

Multiple successive off-topic posts or excessive postings on a particular issue by a single user (a.k.a. trolling) will also not be accepted. IDFG reserves the right to monitor, restrict, block, suspend, or discontinue your access to the IDFG social media sites at any time, with or without advanced notice. Two biologists were cleaning out old boxes at the regional office and stumbled onto these old photos of California bighorn sheep being reintroduced into Little Jacks Creek in 1967. The Idaho Conservation Officer’s Association is proud to announce its 9th Annual Youth Conservation Camp. This year’s youth camp is scheduled for Aug 6-10 at Trinity Pines Camp and Conference Center in Cascade, Idaho. The youth camp is a 5 day, four night camp. The core of the camp focuses on hunter ethics and responsibility with the addition of topics on conservation, aquatic education, teamwork and associated topics. At the completion of camp and successful passing of the Hunter Education test the children will be certified in both Hunter and Archery Education. The cost of the camp is $275 all-inclusive and is open to youth ages 10-12. Applications are received on a first come first served basis.
