We are a family friendly Farmers' Market that strives to be a producer-only Market.  We offer live entertainment and children's activities in addition to a wide variety of vendors.  We are open Saturdays June through Oct from 8 am - 12 pm. The Market is a committee of the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is hosted by the Morton Grove Park District and the Village of Morton Grove.  We are continually publicizing the Market, booking local entertainers and community groups, vetting vendors, recruiting sponsors, and working with several groups to develop logistics to run a smooth, enjoyable marketplace.

Are you curious about what our farmers do when they are not in Morton Grove with us on Saturday morning? Here is a detailed description of all the Wright Way Farm crops growing right now: "UPDATE FROM THE FIELD This week, the fields are starting to produce summer crops. The cool spring has helped the spring vegetables linger a bit, but the bulk of summer produce is on the cusp of exploding in the fields. As I walked through them last evening, I started estimating the countdown to the first harvest of certain vegetables. This week's update is dedicated to the "State of the Farm". Check out the status of your favorite vegetables below. Lettuce -This week will likely be the last week for lettuce until late August. Lettuce does not like warmer weather, and the taste starts to get strong. We have already started planting fall lettuce. Radishes - These too, are done until fall. We begin planting them for fall in two weeks Garlic - The garlic is fully grown and has started to die off. We expect to start harvesting in about two weeks. Two weeks after that, they will be ready to deliver. Onions - These are starting to swell and grow larger in the field. We had some early problems, but we expect a reasonable harvest in about a month. Wheat - The wheat is drying down in the field nicely, and we will likely start harvesting it in the next two weeks. It will need about 2 - 3 more weeks to cure before we start milling it. The wheat crop looks amazing and as long as we get some typically dry July weather, we expect no issues with this crop. Potatoes - The potato crop looks like our best crop ever. We expect to start harvesting early potatoes in the next week or two, and begin regular harvesting in about 3 -4 weeks. Tomatoes - Our tomato crop looks perfect at this point, and we expect to start harvesting the first tomatoes in the next week or two. Cherry tomatoes will be ready in about 3 weeks. Sweet Peppers - These are growing nicely. We just fertilized them for additional vegetative growth. We expect them to be ready in late July. Eggplant - These are growing nicely and will be ready in early August Green Beans - We may start our first harvest in a week. We will likely have enough to start sending in the CSA in two weeks. We expect to harvest for at least eight weeks. Cabbage - Cabbage is ready to harvest now. Napa Cabbage - Napa cabbage is ready to harvest now. It's time to make kimchi. Broccoli - These look beautiful and we expect to them to start sprouting their florets (the part we eat) in about a week to two weeks. The plants are very large, indicative of a solid crop. We also transplanted a fall crop last week. Kohlrabi - The main kohlrabi crop is ready to harvest. They look and taste great! Brussel Sprouts - These will be harvested in September, but they look great right now. Summer Squash (zucchini, straight neck, crook neck, etc) - These are starting to fruit. We are starting a small harvest. We expect the field to explode with fruit within the next two weeks. Cucumbers - These are almost ready. We expect to harvest them in two weeks. Winter squash (Delicata, Acorn, Spaghetti, Butternut, etc.) - These look great and are on schedule for a late summer harvest. Cantaloupe - These are growing nicely and we expect to start harvesting from them in about three weeks. Watermelon - The plants look great with healthy vegetative growth. We expect a nice harvest in August from these. Pumpkins - These are scheduled to be transplanted in the field next week. Sweet Corn - Knee high by the Fourth of July. The sweet corn looks good, though we had some problems due to flooding. We will still have a decent crop, but some of our corn went swimming for a while. If July dries up a bit, we will be alright. Carrots - We lost most of our early carrots in the three week dry spell. We have replanted them and we expect fall carrots. Herbs (Basil, Dill, Fennel, etc.) - Growing well and expected to grow more now that the weather has warmed a bit. Turnips - They are ready now, and we have started planting for fall. Historically for our farm, they do better in the fall. Kale - Still doing well. We are planting more for fall. Dry Beans (Black Turtle and Vermont Red Kidney) - These look nice after surviving the 3 weeks without rain. We are expecting a normal crop in October" Want more updates?
