We're just NUTS about the Crenshaw County Alcazar Shrine Club's Worlds Largest Peanut Boil. In its 49th year, they'll use 2 tons of Morton Salt to flavor 32 tons of perfectly soft, salty peanuts.

Thanks to Gregor Catto, Rep. Robert Aderholt's ag legislative assistant, for meeting with farmers Ben Haynes, Billy Gilley and Jeremy Calvert this week. They discussed labor issues; poultry and cattle production and markets; trade; and hours of service regulations.

The Alabama Catfish Producers will donate 600 pounds of U.S. Farm-Raised catfish to 40 Alabama high schools through the inaugural Catfish Culinary Challenge.

It was a pleasure for the Federation to provide book stipends to 11 new Rural Medicine Program (RMP) students. It's our 14th year supporting the program, which produces primary care physicians for rural Alabama.
