Dali17 Museum
Description
The largest private collection of Salvador Dali artwork in the United States! Dali17 is the United State's first and only private, permanent Salvador Dali collection on the West Coast. We will re-introduce the local history surrounding the artist and display photographs from his "Surrealistic Night at the Hotel Del Monte."
Dali17 is Monterey's newest exhibition to the local art community. Located at the Museum of Monterey, the remarkable and unprecedented art showcases the twentieth century’s premier and most celebrated surrealist artist; Salvador Dali. The collection features original etchings, mixed media, lithographs and rare sculptures. This particular collection has only been exhibited in Spain and Belgium making it a rare and exciting addition to the Monterey Bay. The unique assortment of works are now on display in what was the Monterey Maritime Museum building located next to Fisherman’s Wharf.
The works have been acquired by Mr. Dmitry Piterman of Pebble Beach; international entrepreneur, art collector, soccer executive and professional athlete.
