This Sunday at 10am we continue our summer series on "Words to Live By." This week - Church. In the Bible church is describe in many different ways: as Christ's body, the bride of Christ and branches of the vine of Christ. But in all these metaphors they describe a people gathered for worship and service to God; never as a physical place or structure, hierarchy or institution. What is its purpose? Who is included in this purpose? Why was the church created? What is its mission today? And what is your role in its vision and future?
Open to all - We gather at the Taatjes' Camp on Northeast Pond at 10am for a short informal worship service. Food, boating, swimming and outdoor games follow. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs provided. Bring your own beverages and Last Name: A-M - Salad or Side dish, L-Z Dessert Bring your favorite yard game, bathing suit, a folding chair. RSVP to our email address or to a deacon so we can get a general idea how many burgers and dogs to prepare! Car pools from the church will meet at 9:30am
This Sunday at 10am we continue our summer series on "Words to Live by." This week - Hope. A world filled with wars and rumors of wars desperately needs the hope of the Lord. Hope is forward looking and relies on the faithfulness and trustworthiness of God and the promises God has made to us. Despite our present circumstances God promises a future free from the influences of evil and the certainty that goodness will ultimately prevail.
This Sunday at 10am we continue our summer series on "Words to Live by." This week - Love. Love in the scriptures has many faces: from sexual and emotional love, to the self-sacrificing love of God in Christ. We can easily miss out on God's love if we are distracted by the love of the world and its enticements. We can miss out on God's love if we have lost who we are and what we care about. If God’s steadfast love leads us – there is nothing we cannot do and no place unavailable to us.
More music, less talk. That's what you can expect from our summer worship services. This Sunday at 10am we continue our summer series on "Words to Live By." This week - Trust We know that God is faithful and true - putting our trust in the Lord is a matter of knowing who God is and then applying that knowledge to trust. The greatest challenge in trusting God comes from our impatience. Are we able to wait for answers; to wait for God's blessing?

Grace is a common, if over and ill-used word these days. And yet - it is both the most important concept for our faith life and the only hope for our violent planet.

Our Children's program ended this past Sunday. As part of their Mission work, our young people presented care packages to the Milton Police Officers. Thank you Milton PD for keeping us safe.
