Gabrielle “Gabe” Hurlock' 20 is a sophomore veteran scholar fromThe Posse Foundation. In her two years at Wes, Gabe has founded Sophia: Philosophical Association for Women of Color, Wesleyan’s first student group focused on African American women in the history of philosophy, and she partnered with fellow veteran Posse Scholar Dennis White '19 to launch Appalachian Scholar Project, a college access nonprofit that aims to prepare high school grads in rural West Virginia for a liberal arts education.
