Please join panelists Jean Montross (HOPE), Doug Sinclair (Charter House Coalition), Tiffany Sargent (Middlebury College’s Privilege & Poverty Initiative), and Donna Bailey (Addison County Parent/Child Center) for a discussion about poverty in our midst and how our community can address it. Check out our new service called "New Light" at 4:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 17 at The Congregational Church of Middlebury, UCC held in our new addition, Unity Hall. Informal, inclusive, inspiring. Medicine Tribe band joins us this week, and we sing music from the Taizé community in France next week. This is going to be different. This is going to be bold in spiritual community, and rich in connectedness. We hope you will join us.
The Board of Christian Development will host the annual Rally Day BBQ TODAY from Noon-2pm at 564 Cider Mill Road in Cornwall. This is an ALL CHURCH picnic, all are invited. Please join us for a time of fellowship to celebrate the start of a new program year! The Board will provide drinks, paper products, hot dogs and hamburgers. Please bring a dish to share! If your last name begins with A-R, bring a main or side dish. If it begins with S-Z, bring a dessert. There will be picnic tables to dine at but you might want to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Hope to see you there!
Please share!!! A celebration of the new building at the Congregational Church of Middlebury, United Church of Christ, will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017. All are invited and welcome to attend the celebration of the completion of the new addition which includes Unity Hall, offices, youth rooms and Community spaces. 1:00 pm – Service of Dedication at 2 Main Street – Church Sanctuary 2:00 pm – Open House at 30 North Pleasant Street – The new addition to the Church. Refreshments and music provided.
