Melbourne Central Catholic High School
Description
Dedicated to empowering young adults, Melbourne Central Catholic provides rigorous academics at the AP, honors and college prep levels, and encourages participation in extracurricular activities, clubs and athletics. If you are looking for a unique educational experience in a safe and supportive environment that will bring out the best that each of us has to offer, Melbourne Central Catholic may be the school for you.
Melbourne Central Catholic, with a legacy of nearly 50 years, continues to attract students from far and wide. With students hailing from all corners of Brevard County, this is not a neighborhood school of convenience, but rather it is a destination school that is pursued and valued.
We recognize that every student learns differently and that differentiated instruction in classrooms should become the norm in order to address varied learning styles. We must remember that poets, actors, pro athletes, scientists and priests are all nurtured within the same classroom.
We will work to nurture in our students a heart of service just as Jesus taught. We cannot teach this in classrooms alone. It comes from seeing, feeling and doing, with kindness and compassion. It requires us, as adult role models, to lead by example. As we call our students to be national merit scholars, doctors, lawyers, policemen, artists, athletes, we will also call them to be saints!
Melbourne Central Catholic provides a well-rounded learning environment where a deep commitment to faith, reverence for tradition, respect for virtue and pledge to excellence are evident in all that we say and do.
Come visit Melbourne Central Catholic and see if this is the place to discover your best.

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of death in sports - more than any form of cancer, concussion or illness combined. Thousands of seemingly healthy kids die every single year due to detectable heart conditions. That's why MCC is thrilled to announce that we've partnered with Who We Play For to provide every student athlete and student the opportunity to get their heart checked with an electrocardiogram (ECG). Together we will eliminate the risk of sudden cardiac arrest to a detectable condition missed in the physical. This free opportunity is for those students who have not yet been tested. Thanks to Health First, the program is funded in the first year. Typically, it costs $20 with Who We Play For, compared to $150+ at the hospital. If you would like to pay it forward you can do so for another athlete (checks made payable to Who We Play For). Students must turn in the consent form to Ms. Reynolds by April 5th. On Monday, February 26th, MCC seniors and their parents were invited to attend the "Go Higher, Get Accepted" event hosted by Eastern Florida State College. At the event, students had the opportunity to learn about educational and financial-aid options at EFSC and beyond, and to apply for the upcoming school year. Over 30 seniors took advantage of this useful and informative meeting, where they were able to prepare for a smooth transition into college.
