Marysville Police Department's Community Luncheon for National Police week went great today! We were pleased to serve food to well over 100 people, all of which support law enforcement and its continual mission to make the communities in which we live and work more safe. We would like to thank Chanell Bright for coordinating the event, Justin Carmichael and All American Lawn for donating all material and labor for our beautiful new patio area, John Nicoletti and the Yuba College Culinary Program for preparing our meal, Maggie Capitano Insurance Agency for their generous donation, Frank Tamayo and Recology Yuba-Sutter for their donation, Michael Vaughn for designing the beautiful banner and Marysville Fire and Public Works for helping set everything up. We were also very pleased to host several of our partners from the Yuba County Sheriffs Department, Yuba County Probation Department, Marysville Joint Unified School District, Yuba County Victim Services, Marysville and Yuba City City Councils, Yuba County Board of Supervisors and all of our wonderful citizens who joined us and always support us.
Light at the end--and inside -- of this tunnel
The B Street Tunnel Project was first discussed and planned at a Marysville Police Department Community Forum on Public Safety this past December. Implementation of that plan started almost immediately and the project is now nearing completion. Marysville PD is proud of the hard work and dedication shown to this project by Officer Paul, local artist Louie Lethridge, Marysville Joint United School District, Yuba County Office of Education, Home Depot, Frank M. Booth, Caltrans, Marysville Fire and Public Works Departments, Union Pacific Railroad and our many partners who have taken it upon themselves to make the citizens of Marysville that much safer!

Without your support and partnership we surely wouldn't be able to succeed at what we do. So please, join all of us for a BBQ lunch as we collectively say, "Thank you." Lunch will be served shortly after Noon in our newly renovated patio area behind the Police Department. There will also be free parking in the City of Marysville lot on C Street, between 5th and 6th Streets. We hope to see you there!
