New College Institute is a state-funded educational entity that provides access to bachelor's degree completion programs, master's degrees, teacher endorsement programs, teacher recertification courses, and more through partnerships with colleges and universities. New College strives to be accessible and convenient for students of all ages. Our staff, faculty, and board members are all committed to making New College Institute a premier educational facility and experience for students and the community.

Mrs. Heidi Speakman attended one of our recent non-credit outreach activities (Live @ Lunch w/ Smith River Singers). While at NCI, she picked up summer camp forms for her two grandsons who live in Rocky Mount and Roanoke. Both will be attending NCI's Engineering for Boys camp next month! This is a great example of how outreach and education connect across generations! 👍
School robotics team helps keep first responders safe
This is an awesome example of experiential learning and collaboration between Martinsville City Public Schools, MADawgs FIRST Robotics Team 3258, and Martinsville VA Police Department.

Matija Cosic, a senior at Carlisle School from Serbia, spent the past week job shadowing Pamela Carter-Taylor, NCI's Coordinator of Advanced Manufacturing. We are glad that Matija was able to be a part of the NCI team this past week as he learned about our advanced manufacturing machinery and the work that goes on behind the scenes to develop training opportunities.
