PATIENT PORTAL pediatricsmanhattan.patientmedrecords.com We are continuing to adjust to our new electronic medical record and beginning to expand the functionality of our Patient Portal. You may not be able to see your childrens' entire medical record yet, but you can send us a message and review some of the chart. At the first login, use the email you provided us for USERNAME and your child's record number for PASSWORD. If you have a statement from us, your child's record number will be at the top. If you have several children, only one of their record numbers will work. Use the link at the top of this post; we will pin it to the top of our page for future use! Please call us if you have difficulties. https://scontent.fmci1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-1/c157.91.281.281/p480x480/12628493_823171671162514_1567292644574216233_o.jpg?oh=8b6c4d7174a174a887c0591837227afc&oe=5A75B12B

Good morning. We are upgrading our computer system today, and unable to access medical records for a period of time. Please bear with us as we get through this change. If you leave us a message, please be sure to clearly state the patient's name and a contact phone number. We should be transitioning to our new system next week, so will be a bit slower than usual. Thanks as always for your patience!

Changes Coming We've been incredibly busy in the office, so we know you are battling illness like our own families! We hope that the end of this season is coming soon. In March, we are upgrading our electronic medical record software. This will require us to slow down a bit, and you may find us running behind or having trouble getting everyone in for same-day appointments. After the initial pain of the upgrade, we hope this will help us run more efficiently and provide better care to all of our patients. In the meantime, apologies for any inconvenience. http://officepracticum.com/

Influenza is widespread in the US; we are seeing a fair number of cases in the office. RSV activity is still high as well. Both viruses affect the respiratory system, RSV causes wheezing and increased work of breathing that is worse in younger infants. Influenza is a more sudden onset of fever and aches along with cough. There is no treatment for RSV, just monitoring of hydration and degree of labored breathing. There is treatment for influenza, but typically only recommended for high risk patients (underlying disease or <2yrs of age), and is usually not given if symptoms have been present for longer than 2 days. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/spotlights/flu-activity-rise-2016-2017.htm
