A very respected celebrity Esthetician recommended using coconut oil as a body lotion. I agree, HOWEVER, do your skin and senses a favor and use an organic coconut oil infused with a natural scent. More feminine and a treat to your senses! Pure Fiji at the Dermatory is the absolute best for the body!

" Rosacea and red, sensitive complexions can be completely controlled. Beautiful skin is achievable if these skin types follow my lead. I should know as I have Rosacea and sensitive skin." - Sarah Kurn This week- Rosacea and sensitive skin. First and foremost....clean out the beauty cabinet! Starting fresh is imperative for the process to work. Today, we address one of the top sensitivity causing avengers - cleansers! "But Sarah, my doctor told me to use Cetaphyl." Ug. Chemicals, formaldehyde, parabens all cause sensitivities. We need to make sure that the cleanser is absolutely healthy! Just because a cleanser says "sensitive skin cleanser", does not mean that it is healthy. The only over-the-counter cleanser that I recommend is Vanicream Free and Clear. Yet that is still not totally appropriate for the driest, ROSACEA/SENSITIVE afflicted skin types. Sensitive skin is very reactive to food, environment and topical cosmetics and skincare. And, it is typically a condition that is hereditary. The wrong cleanser will prevent any progress!! Professional cleansers are the only option! Healthy, Omega based cleansers that strengthen the skins acid mantel requires the BEST ingredients. Here are my favorites:

"Beautiful skin begins at night." - Sarah Kurn So....you wash your face before bed and your skin is fresh and clean, but is your bedding clean? Clean bedding, washed in chemical free detergents and free of unhealthy fragrance is important for skin health. Chemical rich detergents aggregate skin... ESPECIALLY THE FACE! Dirty pillowcases? Yuck! Acne prone skin should change pillowcase every night! And consider a silk pillowcase if your face is prone to sleep lines. You won't regret the investment!

"Beautiful skin begins at night." -Sarah Kurn Washing your face every night is crucial to achieve healthy, glowing skin. Daytime pollutants, dirt and makeup and allergens create oxidants that avenge she skin tissue. Moreover, the power-packed evening skincare products work deep in the skin to reverse signs of aging and rejuvenate the skin. Sarah's "Super 4" evening skin care products include: 1. Retinol. The ultimate skin care product that will completely rejuvenate skin tissue, reverse pore size, reverse fine lines, and prevent the skin from premature aging. 2. Stem cells and growth factors. These ingredients boost collagen production and plump the tissue. 3. Antioxidants. Skin care products with antioxidants will feed the skin like a good diet feeds the body. 4. Hyaluronic Acid. A professional strength will hold up to 10,000% of its molecular weight in water, plumping collagen, hydrating, and creating an intense glow.

"Beautiful skin begins at night." -Sara Kurn Sarah says... Retinol - the miracle worker! Most importantly, this powerhouse should only be used in the evening before bed. Retinol gives the skin and collagen a much needed workout, increasing collagen stimulation and skin tightening. It also reduces pore size, acne and brown spots. Retinol should be applied a minimum of twice per week in a strength that is suitable for your skin type. Call/ message Sarah for advice. 651-200-7162

Sarah says.... "Beautiful skin begins at night." Beauty Sleep 7-8 hours of sleep will reduce the appearance of aging eyes significantly. Moreover, lack of sleep accelerates aging. #beautysleepSKSC #beautifulskinbeginsatnightSKSC

Ok, Anne Zimmerman! You have inspired me and I am following your lead! Review, and let me know what to add for a healthy inside, in hopes to promote beauty outside (skin, of course)! Spinach, organic frozen strawberries and blueberries, blackberries, carrot, chia seeds, flax powder and a protein powder ( I need to buy your collagen protien!), water and blend.

" Sarah, what is DermaPlaning? My girl friends love it!" Sarah says.... DermaPlaning is shaving the face with a single scalpel blade. The same effect, and sometimes more gentle, can be achieved at home or in-office with a razor ( yes, the same type you use on your legs). DermaPlaning is requested by 75% of my clients during their facial peels. In the treatment room, I apply a form of a chemical peel, and follow with blading. Removing the superficial hair from the face does not cause the hair to become thicker!! The "peach fuzz" hair will grow back slowly and soft. Why Dermaplane? 1. Visible hair is bothersome 2. Amazing exfoliation 3. Hair dulls the appearance of face by absorbing makeup 4. Softens tissue over time Call Sarah with questions: 651-200-7162
