Our Living History Cemetery tour will be held on October 8th, 2017 starting at 2pm. Tickets are $5 a person with under 5 years old free. Tickets will be sold the day of the tour at our cemetery Chapel. Parking is available inside the cemetery grounds and we will have attendants to help park. We are featuring this year: Sojourner Truth, Ellen G. White, Erastus Hussey, Leon Gillette, Crying Mary, William Palmer, T. Ben Johnston, and the history of the cemetery. While we all know the big names let me give you a very brief idea on a couple of the them that you may not have heard of. Leon Gillette was a past Mayor of Battle Creek as well as a physician here. He was the county Coroner during the Grand Trunk Train disaster. William Palmer was a British soldier who was stationed on St. Helena with Napoleon Bonaparte. T. Ben Johnston is a very familiar name for those in the Scouting program. Come join us for all their stories! Rain or shine and remember this is a walking tour. No vehicles will be allowed on the tour path that afternoon.
