Photos from the official unveiling of our #BuckyonParade statue -- “Animals Need Bucky Too" -- which is meant to pay tribute to all creatures, great and small, treated by the School of Veterinary Medicine. The name was derived from the school’s current efforts to significantly expand the school –- a capital campaign themed Animals Need Heroes Too. (Learn more at: AnimalsNeedHeroesToo.com.) Special thanks to artist Kathy King, from Monroe, Wisconsin, who spent nearly 190 hours between January and April transforming our statue into an animal-filled work of art, and to Debbie Cervenka and Karen Walsh for their sponsorship of the SVM’s statue. You can visit "Animals Need Bucky Too" in downtown Madison at 1 S. Pinckney Street (the corner of Pinckney St. and E. Washington Ave.) through September 12, 2018.
