This Saturday, July 2, we will be in East Finley at the Community Park for their Independence Day celebration. There will be crafters and food. Lots of activities for the kids, a band at 6:00 and some awesome fireworks at dusk. Come on out and check it out! It's a little bit of a drive as this is south of Washington, near Claysville along I 70. It's going to be a great event so it's worth the drive. And besides...WE are going to be there! Also this is a special day for us. Stop by our booth and ask us what I'm talking about. :)

Here we go one more time! This Saturday we will be at the Strawberry Festival at the Burtner House in Natrona Heights. The time is from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. In addition to many wonderful crafters there will be Civil War re-enactors, live firing demonstrations, bluegrass music, horse and buggy rides, and the famous Strawberry Shortcakes. This really sounds like a great family event. Come on out and see all the new goodies that the Sisters have been whipping up. You don't want to miss this one because (as far as we know) this is the LAST dedicated craft show until the fall. I did put a link to the Strawberry Festival here on our page so click on over and check it out!

OK...I'm to blame for this one. I know that it's really late notice but for those of you who are interested we will be at the Hazen Flea Market tomorrow, Saturday June 4 all day (from 7:00 until 3:00ish). We will not be there on Sunday. Stop on up and check out our latest creations and some discounts on a few items we've been carrying around for a couple of months.

Tomorrow (Wednesday, May 4) the Sisters will be set up in the lobby area at the Allegheny Valley Hospital for Nurses Appreciation Day. They were invited to come up because an organizer of the Appreciation Day at AVH stopped by our booth at a recent event. The sale is open to the public and runs from 9:00 AM thru the afternoon. We aren't certain how many other crafters / vendors will be there. They have packed their best stuff and will be dressed in their finest! The only "bad" news is that the "Knot" part of the team has to work my REAL job so I won't be there to schmooze with the customers. I know that the Sisters will do a bang up job without me. :)

This is a very old gas (or propane) heater. It's about 18" tall and very light. The top portion of the dome lifts off to reveal a round screen. There is an old fitting on the back side of the base (out of this view). A quarter sized metal tag hangs just below the upper dome and says "Light Here"

Here we are...two days away from the first Hazen Flea Market of the season. Last year we did very well there and we are looking forward to another great year. I know it's not your typical craft show crowd but don't dismiss it. The customers at Hazen know a creative craft when they see one. I will be posting a picture very soon of a very unique item we found last weekend at an estate sale. It will be available on Saturday. The weather forecast is calling for a great day Saturday and a good chance of steady rain on Sunday. I'm just telling you this so you get there EARLY on Saturday.
