The Loveland Police Department is investigating a series of burglaries and is seeking information about or the identity of the individual wearing the hoodie pictured here. The hoodie is camouflage and has a "Harvest the Murdered" logo on the back. The hoodie is unique because the suspect customized it with the logo. Harvest the Murdered is a Denver area music band. It has been determined that the members of the band are not involved with the burglaries. Please contact Detective Ray Livingston at 970-962-2291 if you have any information that could be helpful in this investigation. Thank you.

Subject: Saint Patrick’s Day DUI/D Enforcement Date: 3/15/18 On Saint Patrick’s Day weekend (Friday, March 16th, through Sunday, March 18th), the Northern Colorado Traffic Safety Task Force, working in conjunction with the Weld County DUI Task Force, will be conducting saturation patrols looking for drivers impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. Extra deputies, officers, and troopers will be out looking for impaired drivers. Our goal in conducting these saturation patrols is to decrease the number of impaired drivers on our roadways and reduce traffic deaths. The legal blood alcohol content limit in Colorado is 0.05 percent for Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI) and 0.08 percent for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). First-time DUI offenders can be punished with up to one year in jail, license suspension, and thousands of dollars in fines. On average, a DUI can cost more than $13,500 after considering fines, legal fees, and increased insurance costs. Penalties increase for repeat offenders. Additional Drug Recognition Experts will be on-duty should drivers choose to drive under the influence of drugs. Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, including marijuana, is illegal. According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, approximately 26,000 arrests are made each year in Colorado for Driving Under the Influence-related offenses. Last year during the Saint Patrick’s Day Enforcement period, agencies across Colorado made 607 DUI related arrests, which was a 33% increase from 2016. If you are going to consume alcohol or marijuana this weekend, please plan alternative transportation. Help keep our roadways safe for all motorists.

Children's Day down at Loveland Fire Station 1. We had representatives from Dispatch, the Senior Volunteers and Police showing our patrol vehicles, talking about safety and giving out take-home child ID kits. Thanks to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 52 for providing FREE kettle corn! Looking forward to next year!
