LeTourneau Automotive Society will hold their 42nd Annual Car Show at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex, March 24-25, 2018. Hours are 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The show will include a wide variety of vehicles from modern muscle to vintage coupes. Proceeds from the show will benefit Righteous Rides, who provides vehicles for missionaries. Tickets will be sold at the door and are $10 for Adults, $5 for LeTourneau students w/ ID, and free for children under 12 years old. Kelli Harvey presents the Longview/Marshall Texas Cinderella Pageant in the Activity Rooms at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex on Sunday, March 18, 2018. Community Healthcore will host Dinner with a Champion at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex on Saturday, March 17, 2018, 6:30 p.m. Former NFL player Ryan Leaf will share his life story of opioid addiction and recovery. The evening will include dinner and a silent auction. Proceeds will benefit Community Healthcore Foundation, which seeks to enhance the lives of people served by Community Healthcore. Repeats are Neat Children’s Consignment Event will be held at the Longview Exhibit Building, March 15-18, 2018. Shoppers get great deals on gently used, good quality children’s items. Admission to shop is free. Participants can consign their children’s items for a 70% commission. Consignors and volunteers who help run the sale get the opportunity to shop first. Donations after the sale benefit local agencies and children. Receiving hours are 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Public sale hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Longview Public Library will host a Spring Break Reading Program featuring The Creature Teacher at the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center on Wednesday, March 14 at 10:30 am. The Creature Teacher will bring a variety of animals for children to see up close and learn about the animals on hand. The free program will last approximately 45 minutes and is appropriate for children of all ages. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
