The City of Lebanon has a residential population of approximately 13,500 with a daytime population of approximately 30,000 people. Lebanon is situated on the Connecticut River in the heart of a pristine New Hampshire Valley, and possesses some of the most beautiful country in the world. The City is a healthy and thriving community that enjoys both the quiet everyday living of rural life and the cultural experience of the big City.
The mission of the Recreation & Parks Department is "to provide a variety of quality recreation programs and special events, and to effectively develop and maintain the City's open space, parks, and recreation facilities for the community's use and enjoyment, which together enhance the quality of life for all residents and guests of the City of Lebanon."
