Men-Hope all had a meaningful and powerful Easter weekend. We are back in the Real Win this week after taking last week off. Sounded like the Tuesday group had a great group this morning. You guys are finishing strong! Well done. Lots of great content in the "Pursuit." From Songs of Solomon, to the Five Love Languages, to personal purity. And you know Paul and Peter have something to say to us husbands in cherishing our wives. What does loving and cherishing your wife have to do with authentic success? Come and share what you know. Come and hear from your brothers. Just two more sessions, finish strong or jump in! See ya at the fire pit for a warm-up chat. Group starts at 7 a.m.

Men-I hope that all who were able to attend picked up some insight and maybe even reconciliation with their work. Here were the 3 steps we can take to infuse joy and purpose into the work God has given us. 1.) Embrace your current work 2.) "Work heartily, as for the Lord" (Colossians 3:23) 3.) Focus on the eternal value of work. In following these steps we can actively move toward accepting the redemption we've been offered in our work. Friendly reminders: Men's retreat is April 28-29th and the important Men's Banquet is Friday, May 12th.

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to join us at the Journey Campus tonight for food, worship and programming.
Men-We tackled the sin of idolatry in this week's session. And we're not talking statues made of wood, metal, or stone. We were talking about anything that you pursue more than you pursue God. Power(Do you love to be in charge?), control(Do you stress when things don't go as you planned them?), comfort(Do you deal with trials by turning to food, pornography, alcohol, tv?), and approval(Is your happiness contingent upon the replies and likes you got on your last Facebook post?). If this stirs you a bit, then I'd highly suggest joining us Saturday 7am or Tuesday 6am. We're heading into the subject of "Work." God has a lot of input on this! Let's check on it! Tease: Its not exactly what you think.

Men-As the title of this week's lesson clearly states, "You are a leader"....whether you consider yourself to be or not. All men are called to lead, and all men have the responsibility to carry out their roles as leaders within their individual spheres of influence. Unfortunately, Adam's miserable failure in the Garden of Eden was just the beginning of a lineage of men often failing. And we all continue to just try harder and "put our nose to the grindstone" to change that. How's that going for you bro? The solution is turning to Jesus! Only to the extent that we follow Jesus will we be able to lead those whom God has entrusted to us! The restoring work of Jesus Christ trumps all that Adam and all men ever did. Thank God, we don't have to be perfect! Romans 5:17-18, go check it out. Many great scriptures referenced in this lesson. I'll see you entrusted dependents of Christ next lesson....Idolatry.
