Hey Everyone. This is Matthew Kreger. It really is. FB is complicated, and I don’t know why it won’t let me publish as myself. I will put on my own profile that I said all of this if needed. I’m still an admin on this account because of details related to Mike taking over this page. I don’t understand why his access is limited, but it is until Tuesday. Enough of that, let’s get on with it. I would like to first of all thank everyone for participating in the largest social media event in Lawrence history. It’s really great when all of us can come together and impact a nation of geeks and nerds. Now let’s talk about it for a second. There was a reason for all this madness... My short life in ownership has taught me many things, but I’m coming to grips with one as I leave it... You can’t do everything everybody wants. It’s just not possible. And as I walk out the door, I take a lot of memories along with me. Some good. Some bad. But most of all, at this point, all the hatred that was blasted my way. One of the things Mike and I talked about was how to stop the hate I’ve been shouldering, and turn around the atmosphere in the store. We thought it would be great to get it all out in the beginning. My experience was always having hate build. Whether it was something that was entrusted to the store and stolen by someone, or someone who just thought they could do it better, or someone who just wanted you to give them something because they felt like they deserved it. This is too much for one person to handle. Now, my life has not been great the past couple of years. Dealing with espionage and plans of attempted assault and such. But, I’m not blaming anyone or anything for what I’ve reached. I’ve made some mistakes with trusting the wrong people, or just not getting something done, but no one deserves what I’ve been through. I only blame myself. I should have just concentrated on one store. Ran it myself. And stayed the course, but I didn’t. I expanded too soon. I entrusted people to run a store for me. That was a bad decision. So, this kind of plan was derived to push the haters away, mostly for my benefit. The funny thing is, Mike is a very opinionated person. He says it like it is, while always trying to make a joke. But, unfortunately, he’s a dad and dads don’t always make good jokes. So here we are. Haters are still posting about all the bad things I supposedly did. Making up stories and amounts to drive people away. And other people chiming in to show they are steadfast Liberals and we all love LFK. I think that acronym is cool. I’m a person who was raised to accept anyone for who they are, and I do. I know that Mike is the same. But I won’t speak for him on political issues. He now has that chance for himself. He just wants a cool store and no hate. Give him a chance, and you will find that out for yourself. But no hate. That’s all done now, and we all can just move forward. Just for the record, I’m leaving for health reasons. I’ve had some issues impact my daily life, and I can’t do the grind anymore. I don’t want to get into it, but I thought I would clarify. Also, I’m dealing with all the legal action that’s taking place. That should all be over very soon. But, I’m not getting sent away or anything. Just clarifying. Also, one more clarification. Go back and look at all the chatter. It’s not us. I did try to defend myself a little, and Mike rebutted a few thoughts, but neither one of us called anybody anything. That all came from the people who wanted to chime in. We were only trying to pinpoint the haters and get them off the radar. Or maybe, just let them expose themselves. But that’s it. That’s the reason for all of this. So there you have it. My thoughts on all of this. I hope I was clear. I’m not going to respond to any haters. That’s over with. I wish you all the best. I hope we can all just settle down and have a good existence from this point forward. And do visit the store. I’m sure Mike wants to shake your hand and recommend a good comic. He’s good at that. He reads everything. Ciao, Matthew Kreger

Our Daisy, sleeping in the prime seat in the house as she does every night. We pull the sheet off and she allows us to use it for normal seating when we need it. She's twice rescued. Her first owners dropped her at a kill shelter in Oklahoma where an acquaintance rescued her. She didn't get along with their other dogs though and so I drove Janice and the kids south and we met this side of the border when we took her. The shelter tattooed her hard! I think they hurt her she has a hip issue and doesn't sit right... We call her our broken a$$ dog. I don't care who you are that's funny especially when you see her sitting half on her side. She gets touchy when you play with her back legs. You couldn't. She'd bite you. I can only imagine what she went through in that relatively short but painful time. Pic to follow in the comments if you really want to see real abuse not jokes...

Attention ladies and gentlemen of the press. I have read it. I would like to thank you all for making this possible. Most of this fair because they use my actual words... except for the last bit from some guy who calls me shady and lumps me in with the old crowd... I never worked in the Lawrence store before. I was in there twice in its entire history. I ran the Topeka store, well, cleaned it up, bounced the shady people. Same thing I'm doing here on page and in store... https://www.bleedingcool.com/2018/03/23/boom-comics-lawrence-kansasfacebook/

Mike you're being deliberately offensive. No I'm being deliberately funny and you're being offended. Two very different things.

Join us for our game night this Thursday! We will feature a few board games each week for anyone that comes to check out the fun! This week we're featuring a game lineup with Space Freaks and Aeon's End. Space Freaks: In Space Freaks, you are team manager of one of the fighting teams sponsored by powerful megacorporations. Your task is to combine different body parts to design the perfect freak, then lead your team of freaks to victory. The arena is controlled by the arena master, who each turn changes the conditions in the arena. To succeed, you need to complete tasks given to you by the viewers — or just destroy the other freaks and their base. But don't worry because in Space Freaks everyone wins, either by managing the winning team or by becoming a (body)part of the next winning team! In more detail, during the game you build your own freaks, one body part at a time, in addition to building turrets, bunkers and droids to aid your team. Your team sponsor might also aid you in the form of items, special actions, or even alien marauders. You score points during play by fulfilling tasks given to your team by the viewers, killing competing freaks, destroying an opposing base, or controlling the center of the arena. Aeon's End: Aeon's End is a cooperative game that explores the deckbuilding genre with a number of innovative mechanisms, including a variable turn order system that simulates the chaos of an attack, and deck management rules that require careful planning with every discarded card. Players will struggle to defend Gravehold from The Nameless and their hordes using unique abilities, powerful spells, and, most importantly of all, their collective wits. You can join the demos, play a game from our library, or bring one of your own to play. Bring a friend or a few. You won't want to miss these weekly events!
