Join us this Thursday for our Summer Jazz Series Kick-Off with Husband and Wife Duo, John Harden II and Ja'Nia. John Harden is an adventurous and open minded musician who is always striving to push himself. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, John recently relocated to Miami, Florida. His music and sound encompasses many genres but his roots are in Jazz, blues, and Gospel. John’s early influences were Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins, Grover Washington, Jr., and Stevie Wonder. “My only goal is to create powerful music that will touch people’s souls”. In a career spanning more than fifteen years, JaNia Harden has distinguished herself as an unparalleled singer, music director, actress, choreographer and educator. She is an independent artist based out of Miami, Florida where she was born and raised. She has toured throughout the U.S. and has had the pleasure to open up for artists such as the Marley Family and Lauryn Hill. “Every time I perform it is an opportunity to bare my soul once more, and I am grateful that God allows me to do so.” John Harden is part of Common Ground Community Development's 21 Artist Residency program. As a musician, he will be curating the Summer Jazz Series alongside his wife, Jania in efforts to help #BRINGBACKTHEMUSIC to the Iconic Bamboo Room located at 25 South J Street Lake Worth, FL 33460. The Summer Jazz Series begins June 8th at 7pm-10pm Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Go online to RSVP http://events.eventzilla.net/e/summer-jazz-series-2138910173
