ANOTHER CLIENT ADDED!! Met with another prospect client last week concerning reviewing their monthly and quarterly financial statements as well as preparing their yearend tax returns. They felt like they were getting over charged by previous accounting firm and were not satisfied with the service they received. Just engaged a client for a review of their internal controls regarding cash. ANOTHER SUCCESS!! Began work with this multi company client less than two months ago after a sudden departure from his in house CPA. Spent the first few weeks getting him were he needed to be regarding his daily accounting and learning his processes before recommending any changes. Have since organized much of his accounting using simple technology including paperless accounts payable and accounts receivable for all his companies, organizing and utilizing file sharing amongst office personnel, and implementing cash flow projections and recaps to manage cash within all his businesses. We made it!!! One year ago today I started my own accounting and tax practice specializing in helping small to mid-sized companies realize their potential by being their partial or complete back office and part-time CFO while offering tax services to both individuals and corporations. Good Morning, As most of you know, I left my employment as CFO with Francis Drilling Fluids, Ltd. (FDF) in May 2015 after over 21 years of service. This was a difficult decision for me and my family to make but after prayerful reflection, we decided it was the best decision. What you may not know is that shortly after my departure from FDF, I started my own accounting & tax practice utilizing the years of experience with FDF as a private, family owned company then as a part of a public company and currently as a private equity owned company. These years of experience not only included the accounting and financial aspects of the company but my reach went into insurance, both property and casualty insurance and health insurance, as well as many points in the operations of the company with workflow design and systems development and implementation. Many of the processes in place today at FDF were put in place during my tenure.
