Congratulations to our 8th grade graduates. We will continue to hold you in our hearts and prayers as you move on to high school in the fall!

Recently, our kindergarteners visited Descanso Gardens. They had a great time learning about plants and nature! (It was also Crazy Hair Day!!)

During school yesterday, each of our students made a "blessing bag" that they took home with them. We used the money that we collected during Lent to buy items that we thought those who are less fortunate might benefit from. The idea is to keep your bag in your car and when you see someone who could use it, pull over and give it to them. You can also make more of these bags with your family and keep on giving!

Yesterday, our school honored our Blessed Mother at May Crowning. Congratulations to our 2017 Court, Alyssa Valdivia, Grace Fontes and our Queen, Ella Polito! It was a beautiful procession and ceremony.

Every year, our 3rd grade teacher, Dahlia Fox, and her students host a very special Mother's Day tea for moms. Thank you Mrs. Fox for all your hard work-you can see by these photos how much the moms loved it!

Yesterday, our 6th graders visited the Gavina Coffee factory, where they learned all about coffee roasting and the history of the company. Thank you to Carmen and Pedro Gavina for coordinating the tour and their generosity to our students. They had a great time!

We are so proud of our 8th grade class! Students were accepted to Flintridge Prep, Mayfield, Pasadena Poly High School, Loyola High School, Immaculate High School (with Honors at Entrance), Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (with students receiving Honors at Entrance and the Talog Scholarship), and Saint Francis High School (with two students receiving scholarships for receiving the second and third highest scores on the entrance exam). In addition, all three of the students attending La Canada High School next year have had 2nd/1st honors or a 4.0 since the 4th grade! We ask the St. Bede community to pray for these young adults as they head off to high school in the Fall!

Today, our school hosted Special Person's Day, with a delicious lunch to celebrate the incredible parents, grandparents, aunts, uncle's, godparents and friends in our students lives. It was a beautiful day! A big thank you to Pilar Urquiza and the Special Persons Day Committee (which included the grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 room moms) for organizing the delicious luncheon, as well Jackie DiPietre for the centerpieces! The school also held its annual Spring Concert today. Each class and the choir performed travel-themed songs. Thank you to our choir teacher, Dr. Lisa Thelen for all of her hard work with the kids. It was an amazing concert! More photos to come!
