Heading up the medical team at Advanced Urgent Care is Dr. Donald Dixon, alongside Dr. David Erlandson and Dr. Kris Bly - three physicians who bring a combined 85 years of Emergency Medicine experience to our facility.

** NEW SERVICE at AUC: Cardiac Telemetry ** What is telemetry? Telemetry allows medical personnel to track a person's heart rate in real time. Patients who experience palpitations, rapid or slow heart rates, dizziness or loss of consciousness, can now come to AUC to have their heart's electrical impulses monitored by our staff. Our new, state-of-the-art system has alarm settings and printing capabilities, so that we can document and assist with problems as they occur at our center. For instance, if a patient has a rapid heart rate, our staff can safely initiate intravenous medications to slow the heart rate down immediately, and then provide longer-acting medications to sustain the treatment. Similarly, for patients with slow heart rates or abnormal pauses, our staff can assess the situation and recommend a pacemaker if necessary. If further investigation or treatment is required, the patient will be referred to a cardiac specialist. If you're experiencing dizziness, black-out episodes, chest pain or any other symptom that may be cardiac-related, this new service at AUC may prevent your need for hospitalization - saving you time and money.
