Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council
Description
The ARTS! The mission of the Ketchikan Area Arts & Humanities Council is to create and promote opportunities for all community members to experience the arts.
Our vision is that arts and cultural events bring people together in ways that expand horizons, challenge assumptions and beliefs, and improve the quality of life in our community.
The Arts Council strongly believes, and vigorously advocates that the arts improve the quality of life in our community, not only through the obvious beauty and thought provoking nature of art, but also as an economic engine within our community. Our vision – The arts improve the quality of life in our community – is a statement that is bigger than our organization. It requires us to continually reinvent ourselves to be relevant and creatively cutting edge in order to keep the importance and value of the arts in our community’s consciousness and to help our community thrive.
The Ketchikan Area Arts & Humanities Council is a member-based non-profit organization that has been providing exceptional arts experiences and opportunities since 1953.
We rely on YOU to support the arts in your community through your membership and involvement. Become a member today! Membership info here: http://ketchikanarts.org/about/join-kaahc
