Another successful weekend for Team Cane Island Outfitters at the Pull for Kids Classic benefiting Child Advocates. All of us at Cane Island Outfitters are very proud to have Dr. Chong Zeng as a member of our instructor cadre. Today, we hosted our first License to Carry class in Mandarin and had an outstanding group of students excel in the course. Although we may have been born in different parts of the world, speak different languages, and were raised in a different culture, every student we hosted today shares the same American values as us, love for Texas, and strong belief in the second amendment. It's an honor to be one of the few, if not the only facility in Texas to offer the License to Carry class in Mandarin. Below is Dr. Zeng's biography: 曾冲,网名“青春尚在”,博士,美国全国步枪协会(NRA)终身会员,NRA 认证靶场安全官, NRA 认证教员,具备 NRA 手枪、步枪、霰弹枪和“拒绝成为受害者”等教学资质,德州公安部 (DPS)认证的携枪证(LTC)教员,授权为您提供办理德州携枪证所必须的培训。曾冲博士在枪 支教学方面具有丰富的经验,其娴熟的教学技巧和 NRA 认证的靶场安全官资质将确保您能够轻松、 安全地掌握相关知识并在实践中迅速进步。他工作之余也多次为大休斯敦地区华人民众义务讲解 基本枪支安全知识并被休斯敦知名中文媒体广泛报道。其开设的各类枪支射击基础课程和德州携 枪证课程广受好评,已有许多来自于四面八方的华人朋友从中受益。为了能让广大休斯敦地区的 华人朋友们能更加透彻地理解课程内容,曾冲博士的各类课程都可以使用中文普通话讲授。 Chong Zeng earned his Ph.D. in Geology and has been a Katy resident for years. He enjoys the lifestyle in Katy and the culture in Texas. After devoting himself in firearm safety, knowledge, and skills, Chong decides to serve the community as an instructor to help more people, particularly the Asian immigrants to actively embrace the unique gun culture here. Chong is a life member of the NRA. He is certified by the NRA as a firearm instructor to teach multidisciplinary courses such as pistol, rifle, shotgun, and the “Refuse To Be A Victim” seminars. He is also certified by the Texas Department of Safety as a Texas License To Carry a Handgun (LTC) instructor. Chong’s advanced degree promotes his smooth delivery of proper firearm knowledge to his students. Most importantly, he always ensures the training safety during live shooting as a NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. Chong has abundant experiences in firearm education in the Greater Houston area and would like to help everyone acquire the proper knowledge of safe gun handling and the corresponding laws and regulations.
