Abc33/40 regrets to announce the POSTPONEMENT of our Storm Spotter Training program, scheduled for Thursday March 30, 2017 at the Jasper Civic Center. Chief Meteorologist James Spann made the decision to postpone the event based on forecast models that put much of Alabama at risk for severe weather Thursday evening. With this threat of severe weather, the Abc33/40 weather Authority team will be in full coverage mode on Thursday evening to protect our viewers. We do plan to work with the Jasper Civic Center to reschedule this event, and will make an announcement when details are available.
