Mia restaurant opened its doors June 2011. We are committed to this Community and are privileged to have had the opportunity to restore the building on the Ithaca Commons, where Mia is. Originally built at the turn of the past century, The Plantation Building has been at the center of the Commons business since its inception, formerly a furniture store, then a shoes store, and lastly a fine collectibles and specialty items store, it had gone into disuse and in a state of disrepair in the recent past. With the invaluable help of the City of Ithaca, IURA, and the Downtown Alliance, as well as the State Historical Preservation Office we were able to rescue this beautiful building and return it to its former glory. The Plantation Building is now back in use and is once again a destination in the heart of the Commons.
If you are looking to host your function, meeting, or rehearsal dinner at Mia, our dining room seats 80 and we are able to accommodate large groups.  Our upstairs function room, the Orchid Room, can seat up to 60 people for dinner in a more private setting.
We welcome you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience at Mia Restaurant.
