They're coming, don't miss it! SERIES EVENTS WILL BE IN FULL SWING THE MONTH OF JULY- -BEGINNING WITH ED LABOON MAKE-UP AT PPMS! The month of July will have action-packed racing for the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series. The Ed Laboon Memorial make-up race will kick off the action on July 9th at PPMS for the Touring Series worth $3,017 to-win. Then Touring Series’ members will try their luck on July 15th at Dog Hollow Speedway in Northern Cambria, PA for $1,000 to-win. The Mini-Series will return to Sharon Speedway for the third race of the Season on July 23rd paying $1,000 to-win. Rounding out the month of July will be the Touring Series event at Raceway 7 on Sunday, July 31st worth $1,000 to-win for Penn Ohio Touring Series’ Members. The July 9th Ed Laboon Memorial race has grown significantly since Mother Nature spoiled the fun on the original date of June 4th. New cars are able to enter the race so those members not there for the June 4th race have an opportunity to participate by tagging the end of the B Mains. The A Main will still pay $3,017 to-win and $200 to-start, the biggest payday for the Series this season. There are 18 cars already qualified for the A Main from the June 4th event. The six heat race winners will participate in a dash paying $100 to-win. An additional 9 cars will qualify to the A Main from the B Main events. One car will advance to the A Main as a Homak Penn Ohio provisional. Vince Laboon has generated additional funding bumping the Dobs Auto Non-Qualifiers Race of 15 laps to $517 to-win. Many contingency prizes are available. All Touring Series’ Members are encouraged to partake in this event that the Laboon Family has worked diligently on to memorialize Ed Laboon. There are no registration fees to participate. Pits will open early afternoon with tech beginning at 4 p.m. We look forward to seeing you all lots in the month of July!
