It is with deep sorrow that the East Fishkill Police Department announces the passing of Retired K-9 Victor. Victor faithfully served the Police Department and Town of East Fishkill residents for 10 years from 2003 until his retirement in January of 2013. He was 15 years old and served out his retired years with his best friend and handler Officer Ralph Bertoldi. Victor continued to be a visible presence around town and had many friends and fans especially among children. Our sincere condolences go out Officer Bertoldi and his family.
A Thank you to Officer Montagna - Was at an EMS call this morning in the rain. I have to say the professionalism and courteously for our patient by the East Fishkill Police Dept was clearly evident when the officer on the scene took off her own rain jacket to keep the stretcher from getting wet while my crew was assisting the patient out of their residence. Thank you for going the extra mile today & everyday for our residents! We need more simple acts of kindness like this in today's world.... The East Fishkill Police would like to remind drivers that passing a stopped school bus, with red lights flashing is a Serious and Dangerous offense. A ticket could result in a minimum $250. fine and 5 points on your license for the first offense. Being late for an appointment or work is NEVER worth risking the safety of our children. Please drive safely.

Advisement for the residents of the Town of East Fishkill **** There is a snow ordinance which takes affect each year starting on November 1st and remains in effect until April 15th of the following year. Please refrain from parking your vehicles on any public highway during these times. Violators will be issued parking citations and if need be, their vehicle will be removed at the owner's expense. Please help our Highway workers get the job done! Be careful of children playing in snowbanks or on the roadway while plows are out.
