Holland Farmers Market
Description
Visit the Holland Farmers Market at the Eighth Street Market Place in Downtown Holland every Wednesday and Saturday from 8am - 3pm! The 2017 Market season starts May 17 and continues through December 9, 2017. The Holland Farmers Market is located at the Eighth Street Market Place in Downtown Holland and is home to over 75 vendors throughout the season. Local farmers offer freshly-picked fruit and vegetables of every variety, beautiful bouquets of flowers and plants for home and garden. A wide variety of baked goods (including breads, pies and cookies), all natural honey and maple syrup and farm fresh cheese, eggs, and meats are also available, in addition to sweet treats, healthy snacks and much, much more! The Holland Farmers Market is a producers Market, which means the large majority of items sold at the Market are locally grown here in West Michigan.
The Holland Market is open year round! The regular Market season begins in mid-May and ends in mid-December. The Market is open from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm each Wednesday and Saturday, though patrons are encouraged to shop early in the day for the best product assortment. After the flowers and plants of spring and bountiful fruits and vegetables of summer, there are pumpkins, gourds, apples, and straw bales in the fall and Christmas trees, wreaths, and garland during the holiday season. An Outdoor Winter Market is then held from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm the first and third Saturdays from January – April.
The Market is also home to great activities for the entire family, which include street performances, cooking demonstrations, kids activities, a summer solstice celebration and a professional pumpkin carving event. A food court, featuring a variety of delicious breakfast and lunch options, is also available during the regular Market season. Absolutely NO pets are allowed at the Market. An ATM is located onsite and Bridge Cards, WIC Project FRESH and Senior/Market FRESH are accepted, with additional Bridge Card funding provided by Double Up Food Bucks. Market Bucks gift certificates and official Market tote bags are also available for purchase. Visit www.hollandfarmersmarket.com for more information or call 616.796.1210.

Did you know a lot of local restaurants use many of the items found right here in our Market? This dish alone from Sandy Point Beach House uses ingredients from 4 of our vendors! This has tomato preserves from Jammin' with Marguerite, chevre goat cheese from Country Winds Farm, Goat Share, and Creamery, cherry balsamic vinegar from Fustini's Oils & Vinegars - Holland, and fresh veggies and bee pollen from Visser Farms. We love the local fare used in local dishes! You can also try to make this yourself by coming down to market and finding these items! What are some of your favorite local dishes?

Today, we are again working with Ottawa Food through our Produce Donation Program to get fresh veggies for local pantries. Grab a bag and "shop" for the pantry! This is a wonderful program that today supports Community Action House. Look for the booth with the bright green bags near the west end of the market! Thank you for your support!
