After an amazing week serving God's kingdom and building relationships with our Jamaican brothers and sisters in Christ, we are on our way home. There were many hugs and tears this morning for our team (and a couple requests for lost passports so they can stay). Thank you Jesus for an awesome week. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. Forever and ever.

Team Jamaica Update: It's been a full three days here in Catadupa. Yesterday after wrapping up Kids Club for the day, we took off down the road for some maul and bucket line work. We're filling potholes and making the roads into Catadupa more drivable. The whole team got in on the shoveling, bucket passing and tossing game! Last night we had worship at Family Fellowship Night. This is a weekly worship service focused on sharing testimony of what God is doing and singing! It was great fun to be a part of this worship as well as be reminded how there is so much to be thankful for. After testimony and singing, Pastor Leroy shared the story of Joseph and his difficult circumstance and how that reminds us of Romans 8:28. Such a great message and teaching from this amazing pastor and friend. We wrapped up with our own church time (y'all need to hear our team sing ...) and then it was ice cream and bed. This morning we had personal devotional time, followed by market day. Then it was time for Kids Club (we had over 30 kids today!) and bucket line. We are so unbelievably thankful to be here at this time and place doing what God has prepared in advance for us to do.

Team Jamaica Update: What a fantastic Monday in Catadupa! We started the day with breakfast and devotional time. Then to work! Our team worked hard and served well. We are working on two projects right now. The first project is right here at church. The church is building an addition to be used to house larger teams. Yesterday was spent tying rebar to prepare for concrete. After lunch the team got busy mixing concrete and then passing buckets up the line. Work went well until a thunder storm came through. The timing was perfect though - our work day was about wrapping up. The team loved the rain! The other project was making piles of what is referred to as maul. This is a rock mixture that is used to even out surfaces. After making the piles, the team will be spreading the mixture over the road to even out the driving surface. In addition to the work projects we have a team teaching Kids Club. They are doing an awesome job teaching and leading the kids, with lessons, crafts and lots of fun. After a full day of work our team enjoyed bathing at the spring. We had an amazing dinner of pork stew with vegetables, rice and cabbage slaw. At the end of the day we wrapped up with large group, sharing highs and lows, Yay Gods and how sometimes our "to-do list" in life and faith distracts us from what God wants us to see. We wrapped up with worship, prayer and small group time.
