We strengthen and equip families to be the answer for vulnerable children in both our local communities and around the world.  Bethany Christian Services is present in communities across the United States and around the world. Our work is amplified in partnership with families, churches, donors and governments that believe in our approach and are helping us accomplish our bold dream—a loving family for every child. We exist for children.

We believe that every child needs and deserves a loving family. Families abound around the globe—there is no shortage of loving families. They are the proven, lasting answer for children in need.

We have been serving children and helping families since 1944. Throughout these many decades, our Christ-centered, family-centered approach has forever changed the lives of tens of thousands of children.

As a Christian organization we are inspired and led by our faith and the example that Jesus set for us.

Meet Mikale! If “America’s Got Talent” comes knocking, Mikale won’t do any blocking. He’ll answer the door because he takes pride in his creativity, and his favorite activities include making arts and crafts. Mikale loves drawing and calligraphy, and he’s accomplished at video game playing. Mikale’s other favorite activities are going to the park, riding his bike and going fishing. Mikale would do best with two experienced and patient parents who can give him the supervision and one-on-one attention he requires. Visit the MARE website to learn more about finding Mikale a forever home. http://bit.ly/adoptingmikale

Meet Tyler! Tyler is a pie ala mode kind of guy, but with a twist regarding the pie. “His favorite food is ice cream and cookies with pizza on the side!” says Tyler’s worker. While he might not pile ice cream directly on his pizza pie, Tyler still shows he’s a creative and clever kid who leans on the analytical side of his mind at times. He’s looking for an equally sweet family, one who likes doing the same activities as he does such as playing with Legos, playing board games or simply spending time together. Visit the MARE website to learn more about finding Tyler a forever home. http://bit.ly/adoptingtyler

I was a refugee from the world’s happiest country

"Every refugee has a story worth listening to. While we may look different, speak different languages or practice different faiths, hardship has bred in us the same hope, determination and work ethic that led to the founding of this beautiful country. And we come with the same dream – a desire to find a home, to belong." -Madap Sharma, Community Resource Developer for Bethany Christian Services of Greater Delaware Valley Discover Madap Sharma's story of hope, resilience, and how he's helping refugee children and families.

Rosemary and Isaac, along with their nephew, Michael, live in Accra, Ghana. Rosemary earned an income from selling ice cream and popsicles at a school near their home and works hard to pay for Michael’s tuition fees. But when Isaac was sick and hospitalized last year, Rosemary struggled to meet her family’s needs. Poverty—particularly when paired with illness—disrupts families like Rosemary’s. The solution is family-based care. Visit Bethany.org/FamilySponsorship to get involved today.
