The Children's Museum of Alamance County provides an environment for creativity, discovery, and hands on learning. The Children's Museum of Alamance County encourages children to exercise their curiosity, develop their imagination, and discover their world through exploration. The museum provides environments where children and adults are given a unique opportunity to play and create together; promote learning and literacy through a wide array of multi-sensory, interactive hands-on experiences; and instill in children a greater understanding of themselves and the world that surrounds them.
The museum joins a family friendly community interested in providing education and cultural arts to their children. Our 14,000 square feet facility features eight interactive exhibits: Building Zone, Health Center, My Own Backyard, Science Adventure, The Lucky Climber, Artists’ Workshop, Wobble and Roll, and Then and Now.
In addition to our everyday exhibits, we also offer educational programs and activities, summer camps, birthday parties and whole facility rentals.
We encourage you and your family to come in for a visit to explore and make memories. You’ll be a part of a unique opportunity to play and create together in an environment that can help promote creativity and discovery through hands on learning.

Come to the Children’s Museum of Alamance County to participate in activities about food allergies and receive a free book about food allergies (while supplies last) Speak to Alamance County Health Department nurses & staff about children’s food allergies

Bags are filling up as we launched our shoe campaign! Please drop off gently used shoes during your visit! All sizes, styles and colors are appreciated. After the collection is complete---the shoes will find a new home in a developing international location. This is a great way to support the museum AND act globally!
