It's a beautiful thing to see people come together to help others. Our only hope is all homeless in need are given the help and support they need

What if there was a way to help the homeless population that didn't involve sleeping in a shelter or on the streets? What if there was a program that was able to transition homeless community members into stable, homes? What if there was a way to do both of these things, legally? Wouldn't that be such a blessing? We started the Almost Home Camping Program to help our clients get back on their feet and rehabilitate. It is a temporary housing solution paired with counseling and assistance from our staff. So far, we have a 100% success rate, and our program has doubled in size. Due to the success of our program, we are looking to expand to year-round assistance. Currently, our camping program is only offered when the local armory is closed at night and we currently have limited space in the program due to our budget. Our goal is to raise enough money to keep our camping program open through this winter, making this year, our first year-round Almost Home Camping Program! We are very honored to be a partner with Little Caesars when we feed our clients like today. Just check got the pictures. Once a year for the last three years, the Little Caesars Love Kitchen came to us to serve pizza of course. We served 60 people today and all had a good time.

So glad the Monterey County Board of Supervisors is addressing the need for a safe, legal place to park. Let's do the same here in Santa Clara County.
