I Love My Park Day is still on for tomorrow at 8:00am in shelter #1. We will be working on placing new charcoal grills, planting trees and flowers, and edging and mulching around trees. There may be other projects as time and workers allow. There will be t-shirts! There will be snacks! There will be prizes! There will be cake! Will there be you? Show your love for your favorite park on I Love My Park Day!

We are still looking to fill several positions for this summer! Application can be found at: https://parks.ny.gov/employment/documents/ParksEmployeeApplicationS1000Part1.pdf and can be turned in at the park office. Positions are available for Lifeguards, cleaning staff, and concession stand workers at Seneca Lake. We are also hiring for maintenance staff, gate attendants, cleaners, and traffic directors at Canandaigua Lake State Marine Park. Work the summer at a job you will love with people who love what they do! Get your application in and join the team!

The t-shirts for I Love My Park Day have arrived! In the box was a nice surprise! The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown has donated free admission tickets to our event! These will be raffled off to our volunteers this Saturday as a bonus! Remember to register at https://parks.ny.gov so we can have enough refreshments for everyone!

Announcing the Seneca Lake State Park T-shirt Design Contest! Do you have an idea for a t-shirt design for Seneca Lake State Park? Take a look at the picture. We obviously need your help! Designs can be: Humorous or serious Hand-drawn or computer generated Artistic or text based Up to three colors Front, back, or both Designs CANNOT: Include a photograph Include inappropriate language or themes (keep it clean!) Wrap around the sides of the shirt or sleeves Send your idea to our mailing address listed below or email it to john.tharp@parks.ny.gov. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, and email address with your design! All submissions will go before a panel of judges to determine a winner. The winner will receive two free t-shirts from the first production run of their design in the size and color of their choice. They will also receive a New York State Parks drawstring knapsack and water bottle. Runner ups will receive a knapsack and water bottle.
